Pupils' birthdays are celebrated in a special way at the rainbow school. A healthy breakfast is served in many classes. The birthday child brings rolls and a small buffet of cold cuts, fruit and vegetables.

In grades 3 and 4, a song is sung for the birthday child and the birthday child distributes a little something they have brought with them to all classmates. In some classes there is also a ritualized birthday circle.
