The school's ANTOLIN library

The school's own library is called ANTOLIN library because ALL the books in this library can be edited by the students using the ANTOLIN computer program after they have been read.

The school license allows EVERY child to answer questions about the book they have read in this computer program under their own username and password.

The students collect points by correctly answering questions about the text. An overall evaluation at the end shows how well they understood the book they had read. The class teacher can also access this account and track and reward the reading success of their class and each individual student.

More than 1000 books

Our ANTOLIN library is equipped with MORE THAN 1000 (!) books that can be borrowed by the students at any time.

The books are marked in color in 5 reading levels (from red to blue to white). Each child can choose a book that suits their reading ability.

The Rainbow School children usually visit the library once a week to discover new books, borrow them or swap them once a week and to enjoy the library hour as READINGTIME. The ANTOLIN library is also furnished with beanbags and invites you to read.

In this way, all students – including our youngest ones – can enjoy access to books and reading.

Every year, the ANTOLIN library is provided with a certain amount by the association to buy new books, replace "worn" ones or buy library furniture. Thanks to a generous financial donation from Bertelsmann in 2020, new and replacement purchases can now be made more extensively and individual shelves can also be renewed.

There are always donations, for example from parents who donate well-preserved books that their children no longer read. Thanks for that!
