Structure of the OGS

The children can spend the afternoon in a family atmosphere in fixed small groups (15 children, each with two caregivers).

Each group has its own group room. There is also a large play area for the children in the school auditorium. The specialist rooms of the school, the gymnasium and the schoolyard can also be used under the guidance of the staff.

Educational lunch

We get our lunch from the family-run catering company "Strammer Max" in Harsewinkel (http://www.strammermax-harsewinkel.de/).

Together with the children from the children's conference, we put together the menu plan. You can view the menu plans on a weekly notice in the school or on our homepage.

Mineral water or still water is available to the children at all times.

In the afternoon we offer a snack in the form of fruit, vegetables or similar for the children.

Lunch time: Monday and Thursday at 1:20 p.m. / Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:30 p.m.

The rooms are child-friendly.

There is space for playing, handicrafts, painting, but also opportunities for individual rest and retreat wishes.

Lunch takes place together in the group (further information under “educational lunch table”).

Our team offers a learning time in cooperation with the teachers (further information under “learning time”).

In the free playtime, the children can visit their friends in the other groups or get suggestions for creative leisure activities from our employees.

An integral part of the OGS is an extensive range of AGs (further information under AGs).

study time

The learning time support takes place in the responsibility of the open all-day.

A team consisting of an OGS employee and a teacher accompanies the learning time groups in the classrooms of the school.

The learning times take place in fixed groups of 12 to 15 children.

There are fixed rules for the design of the learning time that are known to everyone involved.

Learning times are Monday through Thursday. There is no study time on Friday because there is no homework on Friday.

The learning time for children in grades 1-2 is 45 minutes.

The 3rd and 4th graders have 60 minutes of homework time.
