Promotion of social-emotional competence

That social life At school, things are regulated and supported by agreed rules and consequences at the various levels of school life (school, class, break situation, OGS).

These 2 goals are the principles for setting up rules for working together:

  • School is a place for successful learning.
  • The school is a place of peaceful coexistence.

The students had a say in the selection and formulation of the rules. This made it possible to set up child-friendly rules so that every child can remember and name the rules.

School Rules and OGS Rules

  • 6 simple rules provide orientation and ensure peaceful coexistence.
  • The rules apply throughout the school and also apply to the OGS children in the afternoons.

class rules

  • Based on the school rules, each class formulates its own rules - depending on the initial situation within the class - in order to enable good cooperation in the class and the right to successful learning for every child

break rules

  • ensure peaceful, relaxing breaks and fair play
  • The stop rule sets individual limits.

Other offers to promote social-emotional skills are an integral part of our support concept

Some school beginners find it difficult to orient themselves in the new school environment: everyday school life, the lessons, independence, finding their way around the school building and in the schoolyard, all these challenges overwhelm some school beginners.

In order to build security and orientation for the students, a "transition group" takes place once a week. In a small group, the children get to know all the essential processes in school in a playful way and practice them independently. Feelings of security in dealing with the school arise and thus promote concentration and the ability to learn in the classroom.

In this group, children are supported who show an increased need for support, especially in peaceful, conflict-free interaction. The concept of “social learning” promotes the culture of relationships and participation among the children. In addition, the self- and social competence of the students is supported. Social skills are promoted in order to successfully deal with challenges at school and in everyday life.

This coaching takes place in a compact seminar. For 2 days in the second half of the school year, the focus is on the transition of the 4th year students. It is about dealing with the future school situation. The goals of this work are

  • Discussing the future school situation
  • The development of one's own competence to act in an unknown framework
  • Building self-confidence and self-confidence
